Sunday, back at the Barbarossa.

Barbarossa – I think of Frederick and Hitler…

No duck breast today so I went for Barramundi, as I don’t think I’ve ever had it. Most white fish is very bland and I think that is why it is always served with a sauce of some form. I like to cook Rainbow Trout, Salmon and Kippers. Sometimes Mackerel. I also love pilchards and sardines in tomato sauce… look at me the fish chef!!

Is there a special name for a fish chef?

A fish chef is called a poissonnier – thank you google…

Then I remembered that weird scouse expression – sky blue pink with a finny haddy turn over! It’s used by people when someone asks a daft question. Finny Haddy comes from Finnan Haddock, cured, smoked haddock. No idea when the expression began. Daft as each daft question.

Anyway, the Barramundi was bland but light. Roasted potatoes and vegetables, with a nice sauce. I keep flipping to the news on my phone and I just keep seeing Gaza and Ukraine, and I am sitting here whinging about bland fish.

Get some perspective!

I now see Trump, Putin and Netan the Yahoo as the three horsemen of the apocalypse. All three are psychopaths and should be in straight jackets in lunatic asylums. What worries me more is the people around these fuckwits who are enabling them. It is a dark time for humanity. Watching an obviously insane Zionist declaring that one Jewish life is worth ten million Palestinian deaths. Such deep indoctrination and hate – they have become the SS camp guards.

Fortunately for me my sense of humour keeps me smiling.

Talking of which, I did a few more pages of Fairy Hanny and the KIWS. Sometimes, when I look back at my creative writing, I laugh at my own jokes and feel incredulous that I actually wrote those things! Building in song lyrics for Alan A’Dale, using my own rhymes and plagiarising George Formby. And I am taken back to being sixteen and drinking beer in the Horse and Jockey on a Saturday night, listening to some old guy, also called George, singing his song about being a test tube baby. And then we all sang the Merry Minstrel song, very bawdy – actually downright rude!

Another news item pops up. Imagine you spend $14 million on a project which is a massive botch job, but than you try to blame the mess on a guy who picked a piece of rubbish from a pond!

The orange emperor has no cloths!

A text from Hansome Bob referred to Trump as a Knob; I said that is very unfair to Knobs.

Bob was great when I went to the UK last year, and acted as my guide when I was looking for a house on the Cumbria coast. I have mixed memories of my time working up that way at Sellafield. Some people just look at me with raised eyebrows when I say I used to be a Nuckear Physicist, researching potential fuel rod failures. Then when I say I teach Maths and Physics in High School they sort of accept it. What I remember most about living and working at Sellafield was my sense of isolation. I was 21 years old, had grown up in Liverpool and was a student in Coventry. I walked, cycled, or took the bus everywhere. Suddenly there was one bus a day to work, or a two mile walk to the nearest train station.

Handsome Bob is one of the few friends I have made in my world travels. Alongside Aisha, Tom, Adrian, Matt and Luke. I’m not unfriendly, I just avoid socialising with colleagues!

Being in Sanur, as I have said, is allowing me to reflect on my long life. I think I may have to add a post about all of my hospital and near death experiences!

I have been a teacher all my life. That doesn't just mean in School! I taught my brothers to ride bikes and go camping in the mountains. I taught Football, Cricket, Squash, Sailing, Climbing and Karate. In BNI I became the Education Coordinator. With my Property Business I laid on Investment Seminars. I taught my sons to Fish for Carp. And I still teach Maths and Physics to students who want to go to University to study Medicine or Engineering. Now I am teaching people the things I am learning online.
